Fish Out of Water (Fred the Mermaid, Book 3) Fish Out of Water by MaryJanice Davidson

My review

rating: 3 of 5 stars
Well, this was the third and final book of the Fred the Mermaid series. I have to admit I'm sad to have the story end even though I was a little annoyed in the fact that the story was split up into three books when it could have easily been one or two books.

I still think the first book, Sleeping with the Fishes, was the best of the three with this one coming in next. I really loved how the story ended and was quite surprised at some of the outcomes! Fred really came through as the character she was meant to be - not a damsel in distress - even though she had her moments of being it!

I have to say, I adored Thomas in this book. Especially the development of his character. I feel that if the author was determined to make this story into three books she could have expanded on more of each character. I felt we got to know Jonas more than any other supporting character - even though he was just wonderful as well!

All in all, a fun and delightful read. I'd recommend Fred the Mermaid to anyone who was looking for some laugh out loud reading.
